MADISON, N.J. – The FDU-Florham volleyball team cruised past USMV 3-1 Thursday night at the Ferguson Rec Center behind three double-digit kill performances from the Devils.

How it Happened
- The first set began as a back-and-forth bout but the Devils eventually took over taking an 8-6 lead on a kill from Fitch. After Fitch's point, the Devils rattled off a 12-1 run to take a 19-7 lead. FDU ended the first set 25-11 with a kill from Hannah Weinmann to take a 1-0 in the match.
- The Devils began the second set with a slow start as the Dolphins jumped out to a 10-3 lead after a 7-0 run early in the set. FDU later knotted the set at 17-17, but despite keeping it close the rest of the set, the Dolphins tied the match at 1-1 with a 25-23 win in set two.
- FDU bounced back in set three as the Devils held an early 5-1 lead, but a steady comeback from USMV put the Dolphins right back into the set as they knotted it up at 11-11. After some back-and-forth action, the Devils pulled away and took set three 25-16 as the set ended up a USMV serve error.
- The Devils iced the match in set four as FDU cruised to its first home win of the season with a dominant 25-11 win in the last set capped off with a 5-1 Devils run.
Game Notes
- Hart's 10 kills were her most in a match since tallying 12 in a win over CCNY Oct. 8 of 2023.
- Wood's 11 kills were also her most since 2023 in a win over King's College.
- Ocasio's 29 assists matched her total from FDU's previous match against Nichols.

The Devils hit the road for another non-conference match as FDU heads to the nation's capital on Saturday, Sept. 6 to face both Catholic and Eastern in the Catholic Tri-Match. FDU's first set is primed for 11 a.m.
