CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The FDU-Florham volleyball team swept Wilson College 3-0 Saturday afternoon on the road in their second match of the Wilson College Tri-Match

DEVILS HIGHLIGHTS 

• Tayla O'Connor led all Devils with 12 kills. 
• Arianna Wood tallied seven aces and 17 digs in the win.
• Amaya Ocasio and Tori Carrico each recorded double digit assists with 20 and 15, respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Devils bounced back accordingly following their 3-1 loss to Elizabethtown just hours earlier as FDU jumped out in front early and did not look back, taking a 5-1 lead. FDU's lead ballooned to 13-7, but Wilson stormed back and knotted the set at 16-16 after a 7-2 run. The Devils answered and ended the set on a 9-1 run to win the first one 25-17. 
• Set two saw a closer battle between the two squads. After FDU got out to an early lead, Wilson eventually knotted the set at 15-15 after three straight points. Kills from O'Connor and Wood combined with Wilson attack errors put the Devils up 20-16 and despite a comeback from the Phoenix, kills from Wood and Hart sealed the set for the Devils to give FDU a 2-0 match lead. 
• FDU charged into set three as the Devils immediately took an 11-2 lead. Back-to-back kills from Hart and an ace from Ocasio made it a 22-14 FDU lead. Then, three kills from Vanessa Freeman, Hart, and O'Connor iced the set for the Devils and gave them the 3-0 sweep. 

MATCH NOTES

• Ocasio has tallied at least 16 assists 10 of FDU's 11 matches this season.
• Saturday's match was the fourth time this season O'Connor finished with 10 or more kills.

FDU returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 24 as the Devils begin MAC Freedom play at home against Lebanon Valley. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
