MADISON, N.J. – The FDU-Florham Devils women's soccer team hosted the University of Mount Saint Vincent this afternoon. The Devils and the Dolphins had an even score of 1-1 during the second half, but with less than 5 minutes left of regulation, UMSV took the lead, defeating FDU 2-1.

- First-year defender Leila Duffie earned her first collegiate goal and brought the game to a 1-1 tie
- Junior goalkeeper Ava Gianni notched 8 saves during her 60 minutes of regulation
- As a team, FDU led in corner kicks, totaling 6
How it Happened
- After a failed offensive attack by USMV, goalie Ava Gianni sent the ball forward to sophomore defender Alanna Bishop. With a powerful strike, Bishop launched the ball across the field to Duffie, where she took the pass to the top of the goal line. The Dolphins goalkeeper met her at the goal line in an attempt to stop the play, but Duffie successfully regained control to make a cross into the goal.
