Madison, N.J. (June 17)- As announced from the College of Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday afternoon, The FDU-Florham women's lacrosse programs saw three of their student-athletes earn CSC Academic All-District team this year. 
  
Representing on the field and in the classroom was senior, Claudia Zappia (South Brunswick, NJ) and juniors Julianna Medina (Linwood, NJ) and Talia Scheffer (Smithtown, NY).
  
In her final season with the Devils, Zappia started in all 14 games while maintaining a 3.966 cumulative GPA in Psychology. She is a 3-time MAC Winter & Spring Academic Honor Roll Recipient for her excellence off the field. This season, Zappia netted 22 goals and 38 assists for 60 career points, picked up 11 ground balls, and earned a season-high of scoring 5 goals against King's College.  
 
Along with accomplishing a 3.733 cumulative GPA in Pharmacy, Medina has also been the recipient of a MAC Offensive Player of the Week award in 2024, is a 2-time MAC Winter & Spring Academic Honor Roll Student, and a 2024 & 2025 All-MAC Freedom Second Team Midfielder. She was seen in all 14 games as a junior, earning career accolades including scoring the game-winning goal in OT against Delaware Valley, recording 100 career draw controls, earning 100 career points, and collecting 100 career goals. This season she also netted 53 goals and 13 assists for 66 points, picked up 23 ground balls, caused 16 turnovers, and earned 84 draw control wins.  

 
In her first year playing with the Devils, Scheffer held a 3.715 cumulative GPA in Biology. The junior was seen starting in 8 of the 14 games played in her opening season with FDU. As a defensive asset, Scheffer picked up 16 ground balls and caused 1 turnover while earning her first CSC Academic All-District accolade.
