Madison, NJ (April 2) – The FDU-Florham Devils Softball Team hosted the Widener Pride for a cross-MAC doubleheader in support of Ovarian Cancer. Game one was in favor of the Devils as they carried the game into extra innings to win by a 2-1 score, but lost in game two as a late rally was short and led to a 5-3 victory for the Pride.
Game 1:
FDU-Florham struck early in the game when
Bianca DiSanto (Colonia, NJ) sent the ball in the direction of the shortstop to bring
Grace Capparelli (South Plainfield, NJ) home from third base, during the second inning.

The Devils quickly played a three-and-out inning against the Pride's offense and then slowly worked their way through three batters to an RBI ground out by
Jada Lambright (Clifton Park, NY) for the 2-1 extra innings win.
Erin Sinatra (Colonia, NJ)(8-4) threw out a new season-high of 13 strikeouts on 31 batters in all 8 innings and helped with a quick and effective effort in the eighth inning to bring up the Devils' offense.
Game 2:
Widener has settled in their rhythm during the third inning as they added their first two runs. Two innings later in the fifth, they attached a 2-run RBI double to left field and a RBI single up the middle to make it a 5-0 game.

Giulia Olear (Cranford, NJ) bring in the Devils' second run, and soon after the third run by
Caydence Barton (Sayreville, NJ).
Defensive tenses were high on both teams, causing the remainder of the game to have no runs scored, which resulted in Widener having the 5-3 win over the Devils.

as she gave an effort of 3 strikeouts through four innings. Junior
Sydney Grifone (Veron, NJ) appeared for the last three innings and threw 5 strikeouts, including her 200
