Annville, Pa. (April 18) – The Devils went on a road trip to battle with the Flying Dutchman of Lebanon Valley in MAC Freedom action. Unfortunately, they were hampered by them, losing by a score of 12-6.

Mark Geist (Middlesex, NJ) continued his hot stretch, going 2-3 with two home runs, and three RBIs. Daniel Cowles (Colts Neck, NJ) also had a productive day, going 3-4 in the box. Nicholas Colbert (Belmar, NJ) continued to produce as well, going 2-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Lebanon Valley put up runs early, as they found two of them in the bottom of the first from a home run, and four of them in the bottom of the second from two fielders' choices, and a single, putting them ahead 6-0.

The Devils put a run on the board in the top of the third. Colbert started it off with a single, and after Geist walked to advance Colbert to second. Jack Giovenco (Allentown, Pa.) then singled up the middle to score Colbert, and to cut Lebanon Valley's lead to 6-1.

The fourth inning is where FDU got right back into the game. Aaron Santos (Bridgewater, NJ) kicked off the inning with a double, and was advanced to third from a single. John Rolli (Long Valley, NJ) hit a fielder's choice to score Santos. Colbert singled through the left side to score Rolli, and Geist crushed a home run over the left field fence to bring the game in reach, with the score now being 6-5 in the Flying Dutchman's favor.

The game remained scoreless for a few innings until the bottom of the sixth, where Lebanon Valley placed three more runs from a double and a sacrifice fly to bring their lead to 9-5. They scored two more in the bottom of the seventh, off of two singles. They got another on in the bottom of the eighth off a solo home run.

Geist put one more run up in the bottom of the ninth from his second home run of the day, but it wasn't enough, and Lebanon Valley won by a score of 12-6.
