Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Women's Lacrosse Drops to #18 Stevens, 25-3

Hoboken, NJ (April 12) – Alexis Ashton (Blairstown, NJ) led the FDU Women's Lacrosse team in scoring 2 goals against Stevens. Unfortunately, the Devils fell to the USILA Nationally Ranked #18 Stevens Ducls, 25-3. 

Following Ashton in scoring was Julianna Medina (Linwood, NJ) as she earned 1 FDU goal. In goal for the Devils was Alison Kozik (Ellington, CT), who saved 8 of the 33 shots faced. 

In the first quarter, the Stevens Ducks took a significant lead against the Devils as they scored an impressive 11 goals. The Devils could not land any shots in the first quarter, ultimately entering the second quarter with an 11-point deficit. The Ducks continued to make it in the net during the second quarter, as they grew the gap to 16-0. 

After the half, the Devils earned their first goal at the 6:49 time stamp from FDU scorer Ashton which was assisted by Medina. The Ducks brought the score to 20-1 at the end of the third quarter. 

In the final quarter, Stevens put up 5 more goals to solidify their 25-3 win. The last Devils goals of the match came from Ashton off a free position attempt and Medina during a man up opportunity.  

 
As a team, FDU-Florham took 6 shots, 9 ground balls, and 8 draw controls. 
 
Stevens totaled 40 shots, 17 ground balls, and 22 draw controls.
