Newtown, Pa. (February 26)- The FDU-Florham women's basketball team saw a major award winner for the second year in a row, as Bianca Sode (Kenilworth, NJ) was honored as the MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. Kolby Lynch (Morristown, NJ) was also honored as an All-MAC Freedom honorable mention for her performance this season.

Sode started in 15 of the 25 games she played in for the Devils this season. She scored 9.1 pts per game with a total of 227 points scored. She saw a career high of 20 points scored against DeSales on February 8^th. She finished with a .410 field goal percentage, which was second on the Devils this season. Rebounding-wise, she was stellar, picking up 202 of them, which was fifth in the MAC Freedom conference. Defensively, she was among the best in the conference, being top 10 in both blocks and steals, with 30 blocked shots and 1.2 per game, which was seventh in the conference, and 51 steals and 2.0 steals per game, which was ranked eighth in the conference.

 Sode was named MAC Player of the Week for the week of January 21^st, being one of two athletes to win that honor for FDU-Florham in the winter season.

Lynch started in almost every game she participated in, starting in 23 of her 24 games played. She was ranked in the top ten in scoring for this season, scoring an average of 14.7 points per game and 353 points this season, which was ranked sixth in the MAC Freedom conference. Her season high was a 30-point performance against Rutgers-Camden on November 17^th. She had a .442 field goal percentage, making 145 of her 328 shots attempted. She also hit 63 of her 91 free throws attempted, earning a .692 free throw percentage. She also earned 1.3 assists per game, which ranked among the top in the conference. She was also ranked top ten in rebounds, earning 174 of them this season. Defensively, she was top 15 in both blocks and steals, earning 14 and 37 of them respectively.
