Huntington, PA (March 12)- For its first game of the 2025 spring break, the FDU-Florham Men's Lacrosse team traveled to take on the Juniata Eagles and found their fourth win of the year by a 10-7 score at the of non-conference play.
FDU-Florham (4-1) saw
Ronnie Trisuzzi (Rockaway, NJ) notched the team-high mark in goals as he had four with ground ball. Three other Devils recorded 2 goals as well.
Juniata (2-5) was led by Sterling Bechler who eclipsed two goals and one assist.
Juniata was the first to score even though the opening face off belonged to FDU-Florham. The first two goals were scored by the eagles within the first 5 total minutes of play.
The Devils quickly were able to even the score with a goal from
Jarrett Dugenio (Bridgewater, NJ) and Trisuzzi and were even able to take the lead with 3:20 to play in the first quarter. However, the quartered ended in a 3-3 tie as Juniata snuck a ball past the goalie seconds later.
FDU-Florham quickly took charge into the new 15 minutes of play with its fourth goal and later it's fifth by
Bud Snyder (Arlington Heights, Ill.). With 3:04 remaining in the half, Juniata evened the score but was once again put off as the Devils notched a goal in the last minute, 6-5.
The third quarter saw FDU maintain the lead for all 15 minutes and even pushed for a two-goal cushion by the end.
The Devils were the only team to score in the fourth quarter as they added their tenth and final goal to close a 10-7 win at Juniata.
As a team, FDU-Florham compiled 57 shots, 38 ground balls and won 10 face-offs.
Juniata as a team, generated 33 shots, 24 ground balls, and won 11 face-offs.
FDU-Florham's next game will be on Saturday, March 15 against Marywood. The game will be the Devils second contest of spring break and will be held in Sparks, Maryland at the USA Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
