Madison, NJ (February 22) - The FDU Men's Basketball team fell to Stevens on the road for their final game of the 2024-25 season.
Jaqwan Washington (Bryan, TX) led the Devils with 13 points. Following behind was James Zingaro (Stratford, NJ) with 10 points and Carson Woods (Phoenix, AZ.) with 9.
Stevens opened the first half of gameplay with a 10-4 run against the Devils, reaching a score of 19-4 at the 14:30 time stamp. Noah Pagan (Ringwood, NJ) broke the Devils scoring drought, but the Ducks widened the gap to 24-6 with 12:29 on the clock. FDU Baskets from Woods, Zingaro, and Adam Ziegler (West Grove, PA) brought the Devils score up but the Ducks held the lead, 38-13 with 8:42 remaining in the half. Points from Pagan, Washington, Mac Creek (Louisville, KY.), Woods, and Zingaro closed the gap to a 12-point difference, bringing the score to 46-34 at the half.
The Ducks extended their lead early in the half, leading by 19 points at the 18:28 minute mark, 53-34. The Devils needed a strong offensive presence in the second half to close the gap, and baskets from Washington, Christopher Smith (Florham Park, NJ), Amir Williams (Bronx, NY), and Pagan brought the score to 60-45 at the 12:34 time stamp. Stevens continued to take the ball to the rim, expanding the differential further. With 8:20 remaining in the game, the score reached 74-50. Woods, Washington, and Zingaro kept the Devils going, taking the score to 84-57 with less than 3 minutes on the clock but the Ducks' lead was too wide for FDU to take it. The final score for the Devils last game of the season was 86-66, Stevens.
As a team, FDU-Florham shot 35.7 percent (25-70) from the floor, 33.3 percent (8-24) from three-point range, and 100 percent (8-8) from the free throw line. They totaled 26 points in the paint, 20 off the bench, and 18 off turnovers.
Stevens shot 55.4 percent (31-56) from the floor, 46.4 percent (13-28) from three-point range, and 78.6 percent (11-14) from the free throw line. They totaled 30 points in the paint, 20 off the bench, and 22 off turnovers.
The Devils finished their season 10-15 overall, with a conference record of 4-10.
