Reading, PA (February 1)- To start the last month of its indoor season, the FDU-Florham Women's Track & Field Team participated in the PLEX Shootout, hosted by Alvernia, and returned back to Madison with a school record and MAC Qualification.
Only one Devil finished the 60m and
Brianna Fenderson (Edison, NJ) ran a 8.75 which placed her 21st overall.
The 60m Hurdles Prelims ended with
Meghan Kreinberg (Union, NJ) taking 7th for a time of 10.64 and a MAC Championship Qualification. The first year advanced to the finals and ran a 10.71 for 8th overall.
Alyssa Orio ( Middletown, NJ) also participated in the event and was behind her teammate in 15th place and a time of 11.53.
Fenderson also took her talents to the 200m and completed the event with a 29.77 for 26th overall.
Experienced junior,
Bianca Burke (Bridgewater, NJ), stood on the podium in the 400m as a time of 1:02.55 and claimed 2nd in the meet.
Julia Flynn (Manhattan, NY) took 4 laps around the track to compete in the 1-mile and was able to see a time of 6:45.43 to be the 21st fastest athlete at the meet.
The final track event for the Devils earned them a school record in the 4x200m relay as Fenderson, Kreinberg, Orio, and Burke broke the record with a 1:55.23 for 6th.
Kreinberg was all over the field portion of the meet as her mark of 12.04m in the shotput placed her 96th in the Division III rankings and 1st overall in the meet. Her jump in the long jump event marked 4.66m (5th overall) which was a personal record and a qualification mark for MAC's. She stood on the podium once more in the high jump with a mark of 1.52m for 3rd place.
FDU-Florham will travel to Staten Island for the Big Apple Invitational on Saturday, February 8. Events are scheduled to start at 4pm.
