MADISON, N.J. – The FDU-Florham Devils field hockey team returned home to take on the Gwynedd Mercy Griffins this evening. The Devils defeated the Griffins 2-0 

 
 
Devils Highlights 

• Shirley Munoz notched the Devils first goal of the match 

• Julianna Medina landed a second goal for FDU 

• Adrianna Goodwin collected 8 saves for her 60:00 minutes in the cage 

• As a team, FDU totaled 18 shots with 8 in goal scoring range 

How it Happened 

• After a scoreless first quarter, a deflected shot on goal from Medina was redirected by Griffin's goalie to Munoz where she scored a Devils goal at the 17:40 minute mark in the second quarter. 

• In the fourth quarter, after multiple shot attempts by the Devils, Medina secured the FDU win as she was able to gain control of the ball and shoot past the Griffin's goalie into the cage
