Madison, NJ (January 25) FDU-Florham Women's Basketball returned home to play against Stevens, and came back for the win by a score of 63-59.
FDU-Florham (6-11, 3-3 MAC Freedom) was led by
Kolby Lynch (Morristown, NJ), who scored 22 points. She also managed to receive eight rebounds and stole the ball three times

Stevens's (10-7, 4-2 MAC Freedom) best player on the court was Dorothy Loffredo, who scored 16 points.
The first quarter started with five straight points for Stevens before
Julia Vazquez (Bound Brook, NJ) helped cut the deficit with a three-pointer to start the Devils points. Stevens extended the lead to 9-4 before
Bianca Sode (Kenilworth, NJ) hit a tip-in to shrink the lead down to four. The next few possessions saw traded points from both sides, as Lynch hit a jumper and
Destiny Knight (Philadelphia, PA) went down the court for the fast break layup for the Devils. Lynch responded in two straight possessions to Stevens free throws to cut the Ducks lead to four. The Ducks hit two free throws to close the quarter, and after ten minutes played, the Ducks held a six-point lead over the Devils.
The second quarter started with Lynch responding to a Stevens make to keep the deficit at six. However, the Ducks caught fire this quarter, scoring ten straight points to balloon their lead up to 16. Vazquez put an end to that with a jumper, but the rest of the quarter only saw traded points, with Sode hitting the final shot for the Devils. At halftime, Stevens extended their lead to 14, with the score being 35-21.
The third quarter started strong for the Devils, as they scored seven straight points to cut Stevens lead in half.
Christina Centeno (Bayonne, NJ) hit a three-pointer to start it off, and free throws by
Shannon Tighe (Wayne, NJ), as well as another jumper from Centeno, made the lead 35-28. The Ducks would bring it up to 12 before shots by Centeno and Lynch would bring it down to seven once again. Vazquez kept the lead at seven when she hit a three-pointer after the Ducks scored, and a layup from Stevens was responded to by a jumper from Sode. Tighe made a tip-in, and after a made 2-pointer from the Ducks, Centeno hit on a three-pointer to bring the lead to two possessions. A jumper and free throw for Stevens ended the quarter, and coming into the last ten minutes, the comeback was on, as the Devils now only trailed by seven, with the score being 51-44.
FDU took control in the fourth, as after a made jumper from Stevens, FDU went on an eight-point run, with two three-pointers from Tighe and a jumper from Lynch to cut the lead to one point. A made layup from the Ducks was responded in kind by Lynch, and with 4:22 left in the game, Tighe buried a go-ahead three-pointer to put FDU up by two. A layup by Stevens would tie the game, but the Devils would not be denied, as Lynch hit a tip-in and Tighe hit a free throw to put FDU up by three. A tip-in from Stevens would shrink the Devils lead to one, but Lynch and Sode iced the game with free throws. When the clock hit zero, FDU had completed a comeback victory, beating Steven's by a score of 63-59.
FDU-Florham shot 38.5% (25-65) from the floor, 46.7% (7-15) from three-point range, and 54.5% (6-11) from the free throw line, while Stevens shot 27.8% (20-72) from the floor, 21.4% (3-14) from three-point range and 80.0% (16-20) from the free throw line.
The statistics battle was close, as FDU had more points in the paint (28-20) and more fastbreak points, (16-10), while Stevens had more points off turnovers (13-10), second chance points (13-10), and bench points (8-2).
The Devils will remain home to take on Arcadia on January 29
th. Tip-Off will be at 6:00 PM.
