Montclair, NJ (January 3) –  For its only home meet of the 2024-25 season, the FDU-Florham Women's Swimming Team secured multiple first-place finishes to ensure a 177-79 win over Stevenson on Senior Day.
 
Julianna Fazzio (Glassboro, NJ) stood on the podium in all three of her events. She took first in the 200 fly (2:20.16) and the 100 fly (1:02.92), while stepping down one platform for second place in the 400 IM (5:03.67).  
 
Jessica Mooney (Cranford, N.J.) best finish came in the 1000 free where she touched the wall for a time of 12:30.60 and a second place finish. She then proceeded to claim 4th in the 500 free (6:22.58) and took 5th in the 200 back (2:36.39).  
 
Katelyn Plank (Bridgewater, N.J.) held her ground with three of three first-place finishes in the 100 back (1:01.69), the 50 free (25.62), and the 200 back (2:17.32).
 
Magda Konopka (Paramus, NJ) gave another strong performance, as she claimed to be first in all her events. The junior clocked a 2:00.89 in the 200 free, while still producing a top time in the 100 breast (1:12.91) and the 100 free (57.01).

Olivia Glenfield (Howell, MI) also helped the Devils to a sound team win with three first-place finishes of her own. She stood at the top of the podium in the 1000 free (11:33.95), 200 breast (2:37.89), and 400 IM (5:01.79).
 
Lauren Stone (Middletown, NJ) was another Devil who claimed points as she held second in the 100 breast (1:15.38), the 50 free (26.82), and 100 free (59.42).  
 
Caitlyn Kramaritsch (Roxbury, NJ) did not have consistent placement, but she was consistently standing on the podium as she stood on the second platform for the 200 free (2:08.83) and 500 free (5:54.39). The first-year then held for third in the 100 free with a time of 1:01.50.
 
Gosia Swat (North Cadwell, NJ) did account for points for one of her events which was the 200 breast as she claimed sixth with a time of 3:24.47. Her times in the 200 free (2:43.06) and the 50 free (30.28) did not count for points as she placed 6th and 9th.  
 
Ashley Smith (Tinton Falls, NJ) gave a solid performance as she gave two 4th place finishes in the 200 free (2:14.46) and 100 free (1:01.84). However, her time in the 100 free did not account in points for the Devils. Her final meet of the day was the 50 free as she placed 5th with a time of 28.48.  
 
Shalma Lopez (Union City, NJ) gave a 3rd place finish in the 200 fly with a time of 2:55.63. She then proceeded to take 6th in the 200 back with a time of 2:38.41, which unfortunately did not count for points. Lopez's final meet produced a 7th-place finish in the 100 fly for a time of 1:16.43.
 
Eve Amalfitano (Brigantine, NJ) swam in two events during the meet, including the 100 breast (1:36.30) and 200 breast (3:27.61) or 8th and 7th place.
 
Olivia Case (Cream Ridge, NJ) was the second student-athlete to touch the wall in her events as she claimed second in the 100 back (1:04.77), 200 back (2:20.30), and 100 fly (1:06.87).  
 
Naia McGinn (Pleasant Borough, NJ) swam her final home meet with a performance of 6th in the 100 back for a time of 1:22.44. She also rounded her day with a 7th place finish in the 50 free for a time of 32.39.
 
 
Isabel Thierman (Belmar, NJ) was able to stand on the podium for one of her two events which was the 200 breast as she claimed 3rd with a time of 3:01.86. She also competed in the 100 breast but took a placement of 7th with a time of 1:24.48.  
 
Multiple Devils teamed up to compete in the 200 Medley, but it was a quartet of Case, Glenfield, Fazzio, and Plank who claimed first with a time of 1:56.96. In the 200 free relay, Kramaritsch, Smith, Konopka, and Stone sealed the final relay event with a time of 1:46.45 which sealed the 1st place points.  
 
FDU-Florham's final regular season meet will occur on Saturday, January 25 at Misericordia. Events are set to start at 1:00 PM.
