New York, NY (January 17) - The FDU-Florham Women's Track and Field team returned from winter break to participate in the Ramapo Indoor Season Opener at the Armory in New York. The Devils competed in various events and achieved new program records.
Four runners competed for FDU in multiple events to begin the meet, including the Women's 60m, 200m, 400m, 1 mile, and 3000m. Brianna Fenderson (Edison, N.J.) ran the 60m-Prelims, earning a time of 8.82 and 39th place for the Devils. Two runners participated in the 200m, Bianca Burke (Bridgewater, N.J.) ran a time of 26.72, earning 13th place, breaking the current program record. Fenderson also competed in the 200m and came in 36th with a time of 28.35.
Burke also competed in the 400m race, finishing in 10th place with a time of 1:01.05 which broke the current program record and put her at #76 for the NCAA DIII Indoor College Rankings. Julia Flynn (Manhattan, N.Y.) completed the 1 mile race, earning a time of 6:43:23 putting her in 48th place. Briella Bagnato (Allendale, N.J.) rounded out the races, competing in the 3000m, finishing in 34th with a time of 12:19.22.
Meghan Kreinberg (Union, N.J.) finished the day for the Devils as she competed in the Women's High Jump and Long Jump. Kreinberg placed 14th in the High Jump with a distance of 1.47m. For the Long Jump, she finished in 20th place with a distance of 4.32m.
FDU-Florham will return to the Armory in New York on January 24th as they participate in the Dr. Sander Scorcher Meet starting at 9:30 am.
