Madison, NJ (September 7) – The FDU-Florham men's soccer team lost to Marywood 3-2. Drilon Toska (Lincoln Park, NJ) and Irfan Kermalli (Parsippany, NJ) both scored goals in the match.

Records: FDU-Florham (3-1-0); Marywood (2-1-0)
Location: Madison, NJ (Robert T. Shields Field)
FDU Goal Scorers: Drilon Toska (5), Irfan Kermalli (4)

The scoring got started early, as at 4:58, Kermalli shot a ball into a Marywood defender's arm, giving the Devils a penalty shot. Toska took the chance for FDU and slotted it into the net to give the Devils a 1-0 lead.

The Pacers tied it up at one a-piece at 33:55, when a rebound off a save by Anthony Petrucci (West Orange, NJ) rolled into the net. The score remained that way into the half.

Despite chances from both teams, the game remained level until around twenty minutes to go, when a Marywood player hit a corner kick in front of the goal, where the ball was headed over Petrucci to put Marywood ahead 2-1.

It didn't stay that way for long, as at 77:42, Kermalli again shot a ball into the arm of a Marywood defender, giving the Devils another penalty shot. This time Kermalli took the shot himself and buried it to the goalkeeper's right to bring the game level again.

With just over five minutes to go, The Pacers scored off a free kick to give Marywood a 3-2 victory.

Petrucci racked up 5 saves in the match. The Devils outshot the Pacers (28-13) but were even on shots on goal (8-8). Marywood had one more save (6-5), while FDU dominated corner kicks (12-4). Both teams had an even number of fouls (12-12).

The Devils will return to action at Robert T. Shields on Tuesday, September 10th at 7:00 pm to take on the Eagles of St. Elizabeth.
