Madison, NJ (September 18) – The FDU-Florham Women's Soccer team hosted the Centenary University for Wednesday evening non-conference action, and spun the Cyclones up for 5-1 victory.

The match opened at a quick pace as the first goal was scored 2 minutes into play, but was recorded as an own goal by Centenary. The Cyclones did even more of the work as they scored a second goal, this time in the back of the Devils net to even the score at the 20-minute mark.
With their first goal not counting for one of its players, FDU-Florham upped their stats with an assist from
Mia Lopez (Rockaway, NJ) and an ankle-breaking move around the defender for the Devils' second goal by
Brytney Moore (Northville, NY), with 15 minutes remaining in the half.
Just before time expired in the half,
Lopez found an opportunity to spin Centenary even more as she netted FDU's third goal of the match after weaving her way through a half-field worth of defenders.
It was not long until the Devils struck again, this time the a long pass coming from
Alanna Bishop (Jefferson, NJ) and the goal coming from
Emma Letizia (North Haledon, NJ) as she bent the ball and squeezed it past the goalie in the 54th minute.
Concluding the Devils' successful scoring opportunities in the non-conference match was
Ashley Dietrich (Middletown, NJ) as she scored her third goal of the season and gave
Lopez her third point of the night. FDU-Florham concluded the Cyclones' spin cycle with a 5-1 overall match score.
First seen in goal for the Devils was
Ava Gianni (North Brunswick, NJ) as she was only forced to see one save before
Talia Scheffer (Smithtown, NY) stepped into the goalie box and record her single save of the night. With 15 shots on goal from the Devils, Centenary's goalie, Emma Ferfecki was responsible for 10 saves on the day.
FDU-Florham will remain at home for their next non-conference matchup on Saturday, September 2, as they are set to host Wilkes at 1:00pm.
