Myrtle Beach, SC (March 14) – The FDU-Florham Softball team played two games in their fourth day of the Fast Pitch Dreams Classic and split the day's record with a loss to Albright (3-2) in game one by a score of 7-5. The Devils secured game two against Keystone (2-5) with a 10-3 win.
 
Game 1:
 
In the top of the first inning, Albright collected their first run of the game to the scoreboard after a batter was walked with bases loaded. FDU-Florham took the lead with their first inning up to bat as Jada Lambright (Clifton Park, NY) recorded 2 RBI with a double up the middle, 2-1.
 
Albright was able to tie and reclaim the lead in the second inning as the tying run was scored on a wild pitch and reclaimed the lead with an RBI single to right field. The Lions added their final four runs of the game in the fourth inning, ultimately improving their lead to 7-2.
 
FDU-Florham was able to add one run in the bottom of the fourth as Victoria Fantozzi (Hillsborough, NJ) doubled to left field for the RBI. The fifth inning held the final two runs for the game for the Devils, but they were not able to convert their final two hits in the seventh inning for runs, therefore falling to Albright by a final score of 7-5.
 
In the circle for the Devils for the entire game was Kelly Cornog (Newtown Square, PA) (4-3) as she saw a total of 40 batters while recording one strikeout. Securing the win for Albright was Jadelyn Van Winkle as she threw through five innings with one strikeout on 24 batters faced.

Game 2:

A big first inning helped the Devils start the game against Keystone as a total of four hits and four RBI were accounted for to push the Devils ahead to a 5-0 lead. Keystone was able to add three runs of their own to stay close after the first inning.
 
The Devils continued their offensive momentum in the second inning as Kylee Berg (Bordentown, NJ) sent the ball up the middle with a 2 RBI single, 7-3.
 
The offensive momentum was slow between the third and fourth innings as neither team was able to capitalize with runners on base.
 
To improve their lead, Riley Smith (Woodlyn, PA) was able to storm home after a wild pitch brought in the Devils' eighth run of the game. FDU-Florham closed out the sixth inning with an additional two runs and secured the 10-3 on defense in the seventh inning.

Claiming her first win of the season was Fantozzi as she was seen in the circle for all seven innings and recorded four strikeouts while facing 31 batters. Pitching for Keystone was Courtney Cienki, as she was seen through five innings and struck out three batters while facing a total of 28 batters.
