Madison, NJ. (October 22) - FDU-Florham Women's Soccer was edged out by DeSales, 2-1, with the lone goal scored by Ashley Dietrich.

In the first quarter, the DeSales Bulldogs were able to get on the board at the 13:11 minute mark and scored the only goal of the half. Even though the FDU Devils did not convert any of their shots, they dominated offensively with 14 shots (5 shots on goal) and were awarded 4 penalty corners.  

During the second quarter, the Devils continued their offensive strides, but the Bulldogs were able to get past a second shot at the 54:46 timestamp. At the 74:27 timestamp, the Devils were awarded a free kick which was taken and scored by senior Ashley Dietrich (Middletown, NJ) bringing the score to 2-1 with about 15 minutes left of the half. The Bulldogs defense blocked any remaining offensive efforts made by the Devils, ultimately defeating them 2-1. 

In goal for full duration of the match was Ava Gianni (North Brunswick Township, NJ), as she saved 2 of the 4 shots taken on goal by the Bulldogs.  

The FDU-Florham Devils will next travel to King's on Saturday, October 26th for a 2:30pm match up.
