Glassboro, NJ. (October 19) – FDU-Florham Women's Cross Country traveled to Glassboro, NJ to take part in the Inter-Regional Border Battle hosted by Rowan and achieved several personal records at the meet. FDU unfortunately did not meet the threshold to achieve a team score at this meet.
Overall, Johns Hopkins easily won the meet, with 15 points. Very distantly behind in second was Cortland St. with 91 points. Rounding up the podium was the host Rowan with 100 points.
The Devil's top placer of the day was again
Briella Bagnato (Allendale, NJ) who achieved a time of 25:18.6, which was good enough for 16
th place. This also beat her previous PR by just under a minute.
Second to the line was
Mai Purse (Ringwood, NJ) who crossed the line at 77
th place, and achieved a time of 30:08.5, which smashed her previous PR by just over two minutes. She was followed by
Julia Flynn (Manhattan, NY), who finished at a time of 30:37.5, and a place of 83
rd, which also beat her previous PR by just over two minutes.
The final time was from
Briana Flatt (Bridgewater, NJ), which ended up being a 35:48.4, and a place of 105
th. The time was just short of her PR.
FDU will take a week off to rest and recuperate before heading to the MAC Championships at Mechanicsburg, PA at the campus of Messiah on November 2
nd at 11:00 AM.
