The Devils were in for a wet match as the Centenary Cyclones brought the eye of the storm to J.E. Reeves Field, and was the first team to score. The Cyclones were able squeeze the ball into the lower left corner of FDU's goal to go up 1-0, just seven minutes into the first half.

Junior Ashley Dietrich (Middletown, NJ) was able to tie the game in the 24th minute of the match. Teammates Ashleigh Frankel (Branchburg, NJ) and Mia Lopez (Rockaway, NJ) were credited with the assists as Frankel passed it up to Lopez, who then struck for a shot, having Dietrich following behind to score the goal on the second shot.

Ten minutes until the half expired, Centenary was able to score their second goal to go up 2-1. Cyclones Liliana Flores was able to sneak the ball into the lower left-hand corner.

From the being of the second half to the Devils second goal, neither team was successful in the scoring front as a gap of 35 minutes was record without a goal. In the 80th minute, FDU tied the game as teammate Dietrich sent the ball up the field for Lopez to receive. Gathering herself off the pass, then crossing over to her right foot to strike in the top right corner to tie the game 2-2.

The winning goal of the match came in the final seven minutes as Dietrich chipped in the ball for her eighth career game-winning goal, after she was fed a lob pass from Amanda Martinho (Bridgewater, NJ), 3-2.

Erica Blackburn (Marlboro, NJ) saw a total of three shots and record only one save in today's non-conference match.

FDU-Florham will have a gap day in between games as they will host Rutgers-Newark on Wednesday, September 20 at 7pm.
