Madison, NJ (April 19) – The FDU-Florham Men's tennis team (9-5, 6-1) Successfully made it to the MAC Freedom Championship on Saturday April 29, but was stopped by Stevens (14-6, 7-0) in a 5-0 loss.
At No. 1 doubles
Tyler Crook (East Orange, NJ) and
Joni Carasso (Buenos Aries, Argentina) faced Olof Persson and Aashi Kulakarni but fell to a score of 2-8. The No. 2 Doubles
Ronald Duval (Old Bridge, NJ) and
Matthew Emery (Howell, NJ) gave their effort against Stevens but were defeated by a score of 8-2.
Karanveer Saini (Punjab, India) and
Brandon Schwartz (Gladwyne, PA) rallied the ball against Troy Zhang and Andrew He in No. 3 Doubles but ultimately fell by a score 8-2, overall giving Stevens the early 3-0 advantage.
FDU-Florham was not able to finish in four of it's singles matches as Stevens claimed No. 5 and No. 6 singles for the championship title with a score of 5-0. In No. 5 Singles, Karanveer faced Matt Luzzi but was defeated in scores of 6-0, and 6-1. Schwartz was seen playing against Timothy Lou but lost in straight sets by scores of 6-0, 6-0.
