Center Valley, PA (April 26) – The FDU-Florham Devils (15-13, 6-7) traveled on Wednesday afternoon for a MAC Freedom doubleheader against DeSales University (21-12, 6-7). The result of game one was in favor of the Devils as they won 9-6. DeSales almost returned the score with winning game two over the Devils, 8-6.
Game 1:
Each team was quiet with it's first approaches at bat, until the fourth inning when DeSales claimed the first run by leading off the game with a single to left field for the RBI.
The Devils then went on a 7-0 run between the fourth and seventh inning with
Kristen Tigar (Hazlet, NJ) singling to left center for an RBI and the Devils' first run. In the sixth inning, Graduate Student
Dana Giardina (New Fairfield, Conn.) found the ball a place in center field for a 2-run RBI single, to go up 4-1.
The Devils scoring run ended in the seventh inning as Tigar brought in another two runs by doubling to center field. DeSales added another three runs in bottom of the seventh but fell short of a game one come back, 9-3.
In the circle for game one was Senior
Ciara Hoffman (Freehold, NJ) (9-5) as she threw five strikeouts and faced 34 batters.
Victoria Fantozzi (Hillsborough, NJ) was seen for an out as she recorded a save for the Devils. Rachel Lowry pitched 6.1 innings for the Bulldogs and recorded four strikeouts.

Game 2:
The Devils were bit by the Bulldogs in game two as they lost 8-6.
Jada Lambright (Clifton Park, NJ) was seen launching the ball over the right field fence for a two-run homer in the fourth inning for her first collegiate homerun, as well as two hits.
Kacie Centineo (Waldwick, NJ) flied out to center field for the SAC fly to bring Tigar in for the Devil's first run. DeSales then went on a 6-0 run to go up on the Devils 6-1.
Lambright added her two-run homer in the fourth and
Jamie Cardello (Cortlandt Manor, NY) and
Colleen Conway (Amityville, NY) added the fourth and fifth runs as they scored on a throwing error. Senior
Bianca DiSanto (Colonia, NJ) tied the score in the fifth inning by a fielding error on the short stop.
However the Bulldogs were able to bring in another two runs in the sixth inning to secure the win with a score of 8-6.
Fantozzi pitched through the first two inning with two strikeouts and DiSanto was tagged in four the final four innings but was given the loss. The Bulldogs saw Rachel Lowery in the circle for two innings and two strikeouts to record the win.
