Madison (April 22) – The FDU-Florham Devils (13-13) honored it's seniors before today's non-conference doubleheader against Centenary University (13-15), that resulted In each team taking a game. The Cyclones took game one with a score of 1-0. The Devils swung for the fences in game two as they won 14-0.
Game 1:
Game one was in favor of the Cyclones as they awarded the 1-0 win. FDU-Florham totaled three hits to start the day.
Centenary was able to bring in the winning run early as Madison Passanante flied out to right field but was able to bring in the winning RBI in the first inning.
The Devils were able to connect with the ball in the bottom of the second inning as
Kristina Pelano (Howell, NJ) singled to center field. Another effort was made in the bottom of the fourth to bring in a run as
Colleen Conway (Amityville, NY) doubled to right field. The Cyclones continued to make out-after-out to secure the 1-0 win.
In the circle for game one was Senior
Bianca DiSanto (Colonia, NJ) (1-5) as she threw two strikeouts and faced 30 batters. Recording the win for Centenary was Julia Campen (10-9) as she was seen pitching through seven innings and recorded three strikeouts.
Game 2:
The Devils came into game two fired up as they spun the Cyclones for the 14-0 win. Five different Devils recorded two or more hits including three hits each from DiSanto and
Victoria Fantozzi (Hillsborough, NJ).
The Devils started their rally in the second inning as they batted in the first four run. The Devils first of four runs in the fourth inning was an RBI from Fantozzi as she singled up the middle. The Devils completed the top of the third inning with three outs and were then put hold for the bottom of the inning as the game was put in a lighting delay.
Following the delay,
Natalie Decena (Mount Arlington, NJ) started a ten run inning with a two-run homer to right center field.
Jada Lambright (Clifton Park, NY) then continued the momentum with a double to right field for two RBI's. DiSanto cleaned up the inning with two-run RBI double to center field.
FDU-Florham's large led lead to a Mercy rule in the fifth inning and was given the win with a score of 14-0.
Fantozzi (1-0) pitched for the Devils in the second game and was given the win with one strikeouts, while facing seventeen batters. Kelly Earrusso (1-1) was seen through 2.2 inning and the threw two strikeouts before the loss was given.

The Devils will return to McManus Field on Tuesday, April 25 to finish game two against Arcadia that was suspended due to weather. The game will resume at 3:30pm.
