Williamsport, Pa. (April 19) – Lycoming (10-20, 7-12 MAC Free) put together a seven-run second inning to help push themselves past the FDU-Florham baseball team (7-25, 4-14 MAC FREE), 12-8 on Wednesday afternoon. The game was a reschedule from March 10 and game three of a series the Devils secured when they defeated the Warriors twice on Sunday, March 13, 8-3 and 7-2.
 
Lycoming grabbed a 1-0 lead the first inning on a sacrifice fly but the Devils answered back quickly in the top of the second inning when Gabe Francisco (Rutherford, NJ) reached on a throwing error by the pitcher that allowed Chris Kubas (New Providence, NJ) to score.

The difference maker in the game happened in the bottom of the second inning when the Warriors were able to score seven runs to jump out to a 8-1 lead at the end of the frame. The Devils tried to make up the difference scoring three runs in the top of the third on RBI by Kubas, Brody Donovan, and
Zach Ganca (Merrick, NY) and two runs in the top of the fourth on a Jimmy Finnerty (Augusta, NJ) and an error to cut the lead to 8-6.

The two teams traded runs up to a 9-8 score, then Lycoming scored three unanswered runs to avoid the series sweep, 12-8.

Nick Rizos (Wood Ridge, NJ) was credited with the loss on the mound when he pitched 1.2 innings with eight runs surrendered (two earned) and two strikeouts. Zac Zaller got the win for the Warriors in relief when he pitched two innings and allowed three runs (two earned) and struck out two batters. Jake Schilling got the save allowing only one hit with two innings pitched.
