Myrtle Beach, SC (March 17) – The FDU-Florham softball team wrapped up its trip to South Carolina with a pair of wins over Curry College, 8-0, and Keene State College, 8-7. The Devils finished the trip with an overall record of 7-2.
 
Game 1:
 
FDU-Florham softball started the last day of the Fastpitch Dreams Classic with a win against Curry College. The Devils got to work in the third inning as Kacie Centineo (Clifton, NJ) singled through the left side for an RBI. The inning was not over due to a Jada Lambright (Clifton, NJ) double down the right field line to add another two runs to the board.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Kristen Tigar (Hazlet , NJ) and Kristina Pelano (Howell, NJ) both lined the ball through the right side, to each bring in an RBI. With a Natalie Decena (Mount Arlington, NJ) RBI single in the bottom of the fifth, the Devils added to the score not only once, but twice more. First-year Bella Hills (North Bradford, Conn.) and junior Heather Priante (Howell, NJ) both were called out during the play but both were able to secure an RBI before a mercy rule to end the game 8-0, in five innings.
 
Curry College (5-4) recorded two hits and in 17 at-bats.
 
Ciara Hoffman (Freehold, NJ) (5-1) pitched through five innings with five strike outs, as she was awarded the win. Jillian Rogers pitched through 2.1 innings and struck out four Devils.

Game 2:

The Devils faced Keene State in their second game of Friday afternoon. The scoreboard was in favor of FDU-Florham as it defeated Keene state, 8-7.

It was the Devils who struck first with a double to right field off the bat of Heather Priante (Howell, NJ) for an RBI. Later in the first inning, the Devils added another three RBI. Kacie Centineo (Waldwick, NJ) collected two with a single to right field and Colleen Conway (Amityville, NY) added another to take the score to a 4-0 lead after one inning.
Keene State was able to see a hit from Molly Murray, who hit an inside the park home run.  Mia Ferry flied out to left field, but not before she batted in the RBI to close to the score within two. Lynsey Bumpus was then able to add to another run on a passed ball at the plate.

Going into the fourth and fifth innings, Heather Priante (Howell, NJ) grounded out to second base, but not before she batted in the RBI. The Devils added an additional three runs to up the score 8-3.

Keene State made the effort to catch the Devils, but feel short in the sixth inning after adding three more runs to close the score 8-7, in favor of the Devils.

In the circle today for the Devils was Hills as she pitched through five innings for her first career start. Mia Ferry pitched for Keene State and threw two strike outs in five innings (2-2).
