Myrtle Beach, SC (March 13) – The FDU-Florham softball team remains undefeated (3-0) through day two of the Fastpitch Dreams Classic in Myrtle, Beach. The Devils defeated Maine-Farmington, 10-0, as well as SUNY Poly, 2-1.
 
Game 1:

In their game against Maine-Farmington, the Devils were swinging for the fences early as the first and winning run of the game was scored by Kristen Tigar (Hazlet, NJ) , who was only the second batter at the time to appear at the plate. Kacie Centineo  (Waldwick, NJ) doubled up the middle, which brought in an RBI and a run before the inning came to a close at a score of 2-0.

FDU-Florham recorded two more runs in the third inning, and capped the 10-0 win with six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
 
Ciara Hoffman (Freehold, NJ) (2-0) had a strong four innings to help secure the win. Hoffman threw four strikeouts, on facing 15 batters. Carleigh Schievink (0-3) pitched four innings with one strikeout.

Game 2:

The Devils faced SUNY Poly in their second game of Monday afternoon. The scoreboard was in favor of the Devils as they defeated SUNY Poly 2-1.

It was FDU-Florham who stepped up to the plate first. Jada Lambright (Clifton Park, NY) found a spot and ripped the ball down the right field line, sending Heather Priante (Howell, NJ) home for the RBI.
In the bottom of the 4th, SUNY Poly's Maddelyn Hoehn was able to chip one up the middle for an RBI and tying the score 1-1. FDU-Florham was scoreless for six innings but combined for five hits. It was not until the top of 7th inning when Kristina Pelano (Howell, NJ) swung for the winning RBI on a double to left field.

The book recorded Ciara Hoffman (Clifton Park, NY) for the win (3-0) after pitching 3.1 innings and allowing one hit. Caitlin Reilly of SUNY Poly pitched an entire game and recorded seven strikeouts.
