Myrtle Beach, SC (March 12) – The FDU-Florham softball team (1-0) secured their first victory of the season, with a non-conference match-up against Salem State (0-1), 15-0 on Sunday afternoon.

Kristina Pelano (Howell, NJ)Â led the way for the Devils as she had a hit and scored two runs. Pelano also launched her first home run of her career.
Bianca DiSanto (Colonia, NJ) also added a hit and two runs.

In the top of the second, Disanto launched double to the right field that led to the momentum shift the Devils needed. Pelano's two run shot over the left field fence came in the top of the fifth to score the fourth run of the game. The Devils then scored 11 runs in the top of 6th to secure the win.
There were 18 different Devils that batted today, with 13 Devils recording either a hit or run in this afternoon.

Ciara Hoffman (Freehold, NJ)Â helped secure the win with seven strikeouts and allowed only 3 hits, in five innings. For Salem State, Emily Carter pitched just through five innings while facing 26 batters. She recorded five strikeouts on the day.
