In the first half of MAC Freedom action on Robert T. Shields field, the Devils and Monarchs split the advantage as each team recorded six shots. The Devils did hold the advantage in corner kicks with two in the first half.

FDU-Florham saw its first scoring opportunity from Daniella Conanan (Hazlet, NJ) as she took aim and sent the ball towards the goal, for it to only bounce off the cross bar and out into the playing field.

It was King's who was able to put a goal on the score board as Maryanna Garcia received the cross pass and netted the goal with nine minutes to play.

In the 86th minute of the match, the Devils answered the Monarchs with the equalizing goal. Madison Kleinwaks (Boonton, NJ) was awarded the corner kick and sent it towards the goal for Ashley Dietrich (Middletown, NJ) to tap in, 1-1.

FDU-Florham was not settling for a tie as Dietrich was able to find Mia Lopez (Rockaway, NJ) ahead to score her fourth game winning goal, with a little more than a minute and half to play.

The Devils ended the second half with nine shots and the 2-1 victory over King's, to help secure their first MAC Freedom win of the season.

Goalkeeper Erica Blackburn (Marlboro, NJ), collected six saves in tonight's MAC Freedom contest and helped the Devils secure the win with a full 90 minute effort.
