Center Valley, PA (October 21) – The FDU-Florham women's soccer team traveled to DeSales for a MAC Freedom contest, that resulted in a 3-1 loss for the Devils.

The first half was owned by the Bulldogs as they collected eight shots, compared to FDU-Florham's two shots on goal.
Although the Devils defense held strong, it broke in the 29th minute of the match when Emma Riberio netted DeSales' first goal of the afternoon.
FDU-Florham came in the second half ready to strike as they found opportunities on eight shots in the second half. DeSales was just notched out by one shot, as they collected seven in the second half.
The Devils lone goal of the game was scored in the 52nd minute of the game by junior,
Mia Lopez (Rockaway, NJ).
Lopez received the pass from
Daniella Conanan (Hazlet, NJ) and then was able to make a move on her defender to send the ball over the goalie's head for her seventh goal of the season, 1-1.
Just five minutes after the Devils goal, the Bulldogs answered with a goal from Emma Riberio to allow DeSales regain the lead.
Capping of Saturday MAC Freedom action was DeSales once again, as Elizabeth McCarthy added a goal off the assist, in the 70th minute of the match.
DeSales ultimately handed FDU-Florham the 3-1 loss, pushing the devils back to 0-5-0 in MAC Freedom conference play.
Graduate Student
Erica Blackburn (Marlboro, NJ), was in seen in goal for the Devils and collected six saves in today's match.
The Devils will be back at home on Robert T. Shields field, on Wednesday October 25. FDU-Florham will host King's at 7pm, for a MAC Freedom matchup as well as playing in support of breast cancer awareness.
