FDU-Florham keeper Emily Pratchauser (Morristown, NJ) was strong over the opening 30 minutes of play as she stopped eight shots from Ramapo and only allowed one goal in the first half.

The Roadrunners broke the scoreless contest with less than three minutes to play in the second off a penalty corner opportunity. Maggie Farrell found Victoria Docherty in the crease for the 1-0 edge heading into the break.

In the third quarter, Allison Tansay converted off a penalty corner opportunity to give the hosts a 2-0 advantage heading into the final 15 minute of play.

FDU-Florham's lone goal of the day came from Rodriguez off a penalty corner chance by graduate student Haleigh Flukey (Ocean City, NJ) with ten minutes to play in regulation. Rachel McHale (Montville, NJ) had one look at goal over the final few minutes but couldn't find the back of the cage again as Ramapo held off the Devils, 2-1, this afternoon.

Pratchauser ended her day with ten saves for the Devils, a new career high for the Devils junior keeper. Ramapo goalie Michelle Kukan stopped three chances for the hosts in the win.

FDU-Florham will continue its season-opening road trip with an away non-conference matchup at Gwynedd Mercy University on Friday, September 9 at 7:00 pm.

FDU-Florham is currently running a campaign in honor of former Devils men's basketball head coach, men's golf coach and athletic director Roger Kindel.

All donations will go directly towards funding a complete renovation of the basketball and volleyball court inside the Ferguson Recreation Center with his name dawned on both sides.
