Madison, NJ (September 28) – The FDU-Florham field hockey team scored all of its four goals in the first quarter to help to secure a 4-2 home victory against William Paterson on Wednesday night, moving its win streak to four games.

The Devils offense exploded in the first quarter with four goals. Graduate student forward
Haleigh Flukey (Ocean City, NJ) and sophomore forward
Dominique Rodriguez (Pittsgrove, NJ) each collected goals off rebound shots. Flukey notched another goal at the 13:09 mark off a pass from first-year forward
Julianna Medina (
Linwood, NJ), who sank in her own goal fifty seconds later off an assist from sophomore forward
Haleigh Dengler (Barnegat, NJ).
William Paterson cut the lead to 4-1 in the second quarter at the 17:16 timestamp with a goal in front of the cage.
The Pioneers continued to climb back in the third quarter with a shot into the back of the cage at the 39:21 mark to narrow the deficit to 4-2.
Flukey was awarded a penalty stroke at the 49:16 mark in the fourth quarter where the William Paterson goalie dove to her right to make the save. The Devils defense held strong the rest of the quarter to take the victory.

Emily Prachthauser (Morristown, NJ) picked up the win in the cage and tallied five saves.
FDU returns to MAC Freedom play Saturday, October 1, traveling to Lycoming for a 6:00 pm start.
