Manhattan, NY (September 18) – Guided by a hat trick and her conference leading tenth goal of the season, sophomore
Mia Lopez (Rockaway, NJ) and the FDU-Florham women's soccer team improved to 8-0 with an 8-0 win over Pratt Institute on Sunday afternoon on Randall's Island.

Lopez registered the first hat trick of her career this afternoon and not only ranks first in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) with ten goals on the season, she sits second in all of Division III women's soccer only behind Maggie Phillips of George Fox University. Lopez's hat trick was the 23rd in program history and became the 14th student-athlete in program history to accomplish the feat.
In addition to Lopez's hat trick, sophomore
Madison Kleinwaks (Boonton, NJ) tallied her first two goals of the season this afternoon.
Ashley Dietrich (Middletown, NJ),
Aleyna Gross (East Lansing, Mich.) and
Daniella Conanan (Hazlet, NJ) accounted for the other three goals for FDU-Florham this afternoon in the 8-0 win.
Today's win marked the sixth shutout in eight games for the Devils and are the fourth most in a single season in program history, while Lopez individually registered her fifth game winning goal of the year, tying her for second most in a single season with Erica Martins in 2017 and
Amanda Croce in 2018.
Gross' goal was the first of her collegiate career after she played the first two seasons of college soccer at Division I FDU-Metro.
FDU-Florham will head to Rutgers-Newark on Wednesday, September 21 at 7:30 pm for a non-conference matchup before returning to Madison on Saturday, September 24 for a homecoming matchup with Stevenson University at 3:00 pm.
