Scranton, PA (September 13) – The FDU-Florham women's soccer continues its historic start, winning its seventh straight match which is the longest win streak in program history on Saturday afternoon as it held off Marywood, 2-1.

The Devils got on the board first at the 26:38 mark as sophomore forward Mia Lopez (Rockaway, NJ) stripped her defender and aired a ball into the top left corner of the net to give FDU the 1-0 advantage.

Sophomore midfielder Daniella Conanan (Hazlet, NJ) put the Devils up 2-0 at the 51:28 timestamp, firing in a shot into the lower right corner of the net off an assist from sophomore forward Ashley Dietrich (Middletown, NJ). Marywood answered quickly with a goal at the 52:32 mark to cut the lead to 2-1, but the FDU defense held on the rest of the contest to secure the win.

Senior goalkeeper Erica Blackburn (Marlboro, NJ) saw her shutout streak come to an end in the contest after lasting a total of 589:48, but still tallied three saves and the win in goal during today's match.

FDU continues on the road, traveling to take on Pratt Sunday, September 18 at 4:00 pm.

FDU-Florham is currently running a campaign in honor of former Devils men's basketball head coach, men's golf coach and athletic director Roger Kindel.
