FDU saw the first goal of the contest in the first half at the 31:23 mark as sophomore forward Mia Lopez (Rockaway, NJ) snuck a shot into the left corner of the goal off an assist from first year forward Carly Drumm (Cherry Hill, NJ) to take the 1-0 lead.

The Devils offense exploded in the second half with four goals scored. Sophomore forward Ashley Dietrich (Middletown, NJ) fired a shot into the back of the net off an assist from junior defender Amanda Martinho (Bridgewater, NJ) while Drumm weaved through traffic and put in her first goal of the season to push the lead to 3-0.
A goal kick by senior goalkeeper Erica Blackburn (Marlboro, NJ) pushed the ball through to Lopez who won her one-on-one with the goalie for a 4-0 advantage. FDU finished its high-scoring night on a successful penalty kick from senior defender Francesca Escudero (Bridgewater, NJ) which was her first of the season and put the stamp on a 5-0 victory.

Blackburn tallied five saves in her fourth complete game shutout, which is tied for first in the country. FDU's five consecutive shutouts breaks the program record and currently ranks second in Division III.
