Madison, NJ (April 18) – The FDU-Florham baseball team fell to DeSales University in the final game of a three game MAC Freedom series this afternoon, 8-6, at Vincent J. and Lenda F. Naimoli Ballpark.
 
FDU-Florham now sits at 17-13 overall and 7-8 in MAC Freedom play, while DeSales moved to 15-13 overall and 9-6 in the league. The Bulldogs took two of three games in this weekend's conference set.
 
DeSales took a 2-0 lead in the second inning on a two run double by Gavin Zavorski before Tommy Moore's (Mansfield, NJ) two run single in the bottom of the third knotted the game up at 2-2.

FDU put together four runs in the bottom of the fourth on a two run home run by Matt Nodoro (Morristown, NJ), his fifth of the season and a two run single by DJ Gonnelli (Berkeley Heights, NJ). DeSales, however, answered with four runs of its own in the top half of the next inning on two doubles and a fielder's choice.
 
An RBI triple by Patrick Kusters plated Liam Kile as DeSales took a 7-6 lead in the sixth and a single through the right side by G. Diaz extended the visitors lead to two. Mike Romano and Frank Parrotti shut the FDU bats down over the final five innings as they surrendered just two hits and struck out seven batters to secure the road win.

Romano earned the win in four innings of relief for DeSales, while Jonathan Rodenhaver (Port Republic, Md.) took the loss for FDU out of the pen.
 
FDU will travel to SUNY Maritime on Wednesday evening for a non-conference matchup at 7:00 pm.
