Madison, NJ (October 26) – FDU-Florham kept its hopes alive for a berth to the 2022 Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) Tournament tonight with a 2-0 victory over Wilkes University. The victory over Wilkes was the first for the Devils since the 2018 campaign.

After the results of tonight's games across the league, the Devils will need a win over Lycoming College on Saturday evening, have Arcadia draw or lose in its game against Wilkes, or both teams draw on Saturday to earn a spot in the MAC Freedom playoffs for the 13th time in program history.
FDU-Florham sophomore
Ashleigh Frankel (Branchburg, NJ) gave the Devils an early 1-0 advantage in the 15th minute as she buried a shot into the upper right corner of the net off a feed by classmate
Ashley Dietrich (Middletown, NJ).
Frankel doubled the Devils advantage in the 51st minute as she finished a pass from classmate
Daniella Conanan (Hazlet, NJ).
FDU-Florham goalkeeper
Erica Blackburn (Marlboro, NJ) tied the single season program record for both shutouts (9 –
Ashley Paulino in 2018) and wins (14 – Melissa Braun in 2006 &
Ashley Paulino in 2018). Blackburn was outstanding in net tonight with seven saves including a point blank shot for Wilkes late in the second half.
FDU-Florham will host Lycoming College in its 2022 regular season finale on Saturday, October 29 at 5:00 pm on Robert T. Shields Field. The Devils are playing their game in conjunction with the Strong Girls United Foundation and will host the Girls in the Game Event prior to their contest with the Warriors.
