Box Score Glenside, Pa. (January 12) – Aidan Newman (Gainsville, Fla.) led the FDU-Florham men's basketball team with 17 points tonight, but the Devils came up short to Arcadia University, 75-50, on the road in a Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) contest inside Alumni Gymnasium.
 
FDU (3-10, 0-6 MAC Freedom) also received nine points from Michael Dabas (Middletown, NJ), while Carson Woods (Phoenix, Ariz.) led FDU with a team-high seven rebounds on the night. Arcadia (5-11, 4-3 MAC Freedom) saw three student-athletes post double digit points paced by Gabe Kier, who notched 16 in 30 minutes of action.
 
Arcadia raced out to a 20-7 edge over the first seven and a half minutes of the game and never relinquished its lead en route to the 75-50 conference win. The Knights led by as many as 16 in the first half and led 37-23 at the break.
 
FDU cut its deficit to ten points (39-29) early in the second half following a jumper by Gerard Nicholson (Staten Island, NJ), but over the next eight minutes Arcadia built its advantage to 20 points at 56-36. The Knight led by as many as 30 at 71-41 with under three to play and went on to win 75-50.
 
FDU scored nine points off of turnovers and 28 points in the paint, while Arcadia received 31 of its points off the bench and scored 32 points in the paint.
 
As a team, FDU shot 37.3-percent (22-for-59) from the floor and 31.6-percent from behind the arc (6-for-19), while Arcadia hit half of its shots from the floor (30-for-60) and 45.8-percent (11-for-24) of its shots from three point range.

FDU is scheduled to host Misericordia University on Saturday, January 15 at 3:00 pm in its next contest.
