Tatiana Nieto (Clark, NJ)registered a goal and an assist today as the Devils topped Marywood University, 2-1, in a non-conference victory on Robert T. Shields Field.

First Half:
- FDU first-year Ashley Dietrich (Middletown, NJ) gave the Devils a 1-0 lead in the 30th minute with her team-leading third goal of the year as she headed the ball into the back of the net off a corner kick by Nieto.
- Marywood knotted the score up before the break as Gillian Way found Meghan Mulvey for the equalizer with less than three minutes to play in the opening half.
Second Half:
- Nieto scored what proved to be the game winner in the 72nd minute on an unassisted strike for her second goal of the year and her second goal in as many games this week.
The FDU goalkeeper duo of
Erica Blackburn (Marlboro, NJ) and
Ashley Paulino (Linden, NJ) split halves for the Devils and both made two saves, while Marywood keeper Rebekah Becker stopped the ball six times for the visitors.
As a team FDU held an edge in shots (16-10) and corner kicks (8-4).
FDU will welcome Albright College to Robert T. Shields Field on Wednesday at 4:00 pm in its next contest.
