Madison, NJ (September 16) – The Fairleigh Dickinson volleyball team was swept by Arcadia University this afternoon on the road in a Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) contest by set scores of 25-19, 25-13, 25-21.

First Set:
- Tied at 9-9 in the first set, Arcadia went on a 10-2 run to go ahead by a 19-11 score. FDU cut its deficit to as few as three a few times late in the stanza following a kill by Adrienne DeFuria (Randolph, NJ)and an error by Arcadia. The hosts registered back-to-back kills to take set one 25-19.
Second Set:
- As was in the first set, the second set was even early on. This time it was 7-7. Arcadia produced a 13-4 run to go ahead 20-10 and a kill by Michelle Frank gave the hosts a 2-0 lead in the match with a 25-13 win in set two.
Third Set:
- Late in the third set, the score sat at 19-19, but Arcadia scored four straight points for the 23-19 edge. Abigail Rock (Stewartsville, NJ) paired with an error by the hosts gave the Devils a chance for a late run, but the set and match ended with Arcadia up 25-21 and 3-0 overall.
DeFuria led the way for FDU with four kills, while
Kacie Ros (Bridgewater, NJ) registered seven assists. FDU libero
Jessica Garreffa (Chatham, NJ) tallied a season-high 18 digs.
FDU will welcomes Wilkes University to Madison on Wednesday, September 22 at 7:00 pm for another MAC Freedom match.
