Paulino Breaks Wins Record as Women's Soccer Downs Mount Saint Vincent, 4-1

Madison, NJ (September 15) – FDU-Florham women's soccer goalkeeper Ashley Paulino (Linden, NJ) broke the program record for career wins in today's 4-1 win over the College of Mount Saint Vincent (CMSV) on Robert T. Shields Field.

The win gave her 37 for her career as she moved ahead of Annie George, who racked up 36 victories from 2013-16. Paulino and George are two of only four goalkeepers in program history with 30 or more career wins.

  • The Devils registered the first goal of the game in the 25th minute as Madison Kleinwaks (Boonton, NJ) fed the ball to Tatiana Nieto (Clark, NJ) for the 1-0 lead. CMSV answered with a strike of its own six minutes later after Amanda Cotroneo slipped the ball through the FDU defense to the feet of Alicia Rodriguez.

At the end of 90 minutes, FDU held a 24-4 advantage in shots and a 5-1 edge in corners. Neither Paulino nor Erica Blackburn (Marlboro, NJ), who split time in net for FDU, had to make a save while the goalkeeping duo from CMSV stopped the ball six times.
