Northborough, Mass. (July 27) – Five student-athletes from the Fairleigh Dickinson University women's lacrosse team have been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll this spring. 
 
Seniors Madison Wood (Oceanport, NJ), Hannah Bhend (Landing, NJ), Olivia Chaoush (Westfield, Mass.), Kayla Brunner (Manahawkin, NJ) and Mia Michaelides (Red Hook, NY) all earned a spot on the 2021 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. For all five student-athletes, it marks the first time that they have all been recognized by the IWLCA for their academic success.
 
The IWLCA honored 766 student-athletes from 282 different institutions on the 2021 Division III Academic Honor Roll. In order to be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic grade point average of 3.50 or greater.

These five seniors guided the FDU women's lacrosse team to a historic 2021 season as the Devils went 16-1, won the MAC Freedom Championship and reached the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. Prior to the NCAA Tournament, FDU produced the program's first undefeated regular season and broke the single season record for most goals in a game in back-to-back contests midway through the year with victories over Wilkes (23-4) and Delaware Valley (24-4).
