Madison, NJ – First-year Katie Walsh and sophomore Kylee Garcia of the FDU women's lacrosse team were named All-Americans by USA Lacrosse Magazine.

Walsh was a Second Team selection as Garcia was tabbed to the Third Team. FDU was one of 11 schools that had multiple players named to the All-American list. Both Walsh and Garcia were chosen to the IWLCA All-Boardwalk Region Team earlier this week.

Walsh, who was named the MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year and Midfielder of the Year, lit up the MAC Freedom Conference in her first season in Madison. She finished as a five-time recipient of the MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week and a one-time recipient of the Defensive Player of the Week honors. The first-year midfielder compiled 76 goals and 11 assists for 87 points with 147 draw controls (single-season record), 68 ground balls (single-season record), and 36 caused turnovers (single-season record). This was also the first time in program history that a player named Rookie and Midfielder of the Year.

Garcia, who was a First Team All-MAC Freedom selection, finished the season leading the team in goals with 81, including 19 assists, 167 shots, 31 ground balls, 30 caused turnovers, and 22 draw controls. Garcia surpassed the 100 point mark in only her second season in a Devils uniform. She became just the fourth student-athlete in program history to record 100 points in a season, joining Courtney Rendinaro (120 – 2015), Katie Rolwood (114 – 2013), and current assistant coach Caroline Pape (103 – 2019). Her 81 goals are also the second-most in a single season, trailing Rolwood's 92 in 2013.
