DOYLESTOWN, PA (April 17, 2021)- FDU Women's Lacrosse improved on the historic start to the season, defeating Delaware Valley University on the road Wednesday afternoon, 24-4. With 24 goals on the day, the Devils broke the single game record for goals scored, for the second straight game.

FDU had eight different goal scorers in the contest, led by first-year 
Katie Walsh with 10, breaking the single game goals record which was previously eight. Walsh also broke the single game draw control record for the second time this season, finishing the game with 18. Behind Walsh was sophomore 
Kylee Garcia who netted five goals and recorded two assists. Senior 
Mia Michaelides added three goals, junior 
Paige Frye added two, seniors 
Madison Wood and 
Hannah Bhend finished with a goal and an assist, and seniors 
Aliyha Elk and 
Kayla Brunner added one apiece.
 
Ground Ballin'
FDU controlled the ground game, scooping up 21 ground balls on the day and finishing the game winning the battle, 21-12.
 
Goaltending
Sophomore goalie 
Maddy Apap won her tenth straight game, recording seven saves on eleven shots on goal.

FDU returns to action on Saturday, April 17 when they host Misericordia for a game starting at 1:00 pm.
