Madison, NJ (October 27) – The FDU-Florham women's soccer team came from behind to earn a 1-1 double overtime draw with Stevens Institute of Technology in a Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) matchup this evening.
Stevens came into today's match fifth in the second edition of the NCAA Division III Region IV rankings.

Stevens scored the game's first goal in the 13th minute as Gianna Nitti fed the ball to Amelia Rehrig for the early lead as Rehrig scored her team leading fifth goal of the season. The Ducks held the Devils without a shot over the first 45 minutes of the match.
Just 6:40 into the second half, FDU knotted the match up at 1-1 as
Ashleigh Frankel (Branchburg, NJ)passed the ball from the left side to
Amanda Croce (Wayne, NJ) in the box. Croce fought through a defender and planted her team leading eighth goal of the campaign.
Both teams had good looks over the final 40 minutes of regulation.
Tatiana Nieto (Clark, NJ) blasted two shots at Stevens keeper Morgan Whitlock and the Ducks peppered nine shots looking for the go ahead. Neither team though could find the back of the net, sending the game to overtime.
Stevens out shot FDU 7-0 in the 20 minutes of extra time, but
Erica Blackburn (Marlboro, NJ) stopped all three shots she faced preserving the draw for the Devils. Over the 110 minute match, Blackburn made eight saves and in eight MAC Freedom matches this fall totaled 55 saves.
FDU wrapped up its MAC Freedom schedule with a record of 3-3-2 for 11 points and will await the result of Saturday's conference games to determine qualification and seeding for the MAC Freedom postseason tournament.
The Devils will celebrate Senior Day on Saturday, October 30 as they will host Bryn Mawr College at 3:00 pm in their regular season finale.
