Williamsport, Pa. (October 16) – Two goals in the first half was all the FDU-Florham women's soccer team needed this afternoon as the Devils picked up a huge 2-0 road win over Lycoming in a Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) matchup.

Just 11:55 into the match, FDU found the back of the net.
Tatiana Nieto (Clark, NJ) lined up for the corner kick and sent the ball into the box. The ball bounced around and deflected off of a Lycoming defender to the foot of
Francesca Escudero (Bridgewater, NJ), who registered the first goal of her collegiate career.
FDU doubled its advantage about 15 minutes later as
Ashley Dietrich (Middletown, NJ) headed the ball into left side of the net off a corner kick by Nieto. Both teams registered seven shots a piece in the first half.
Lycoming out shot FDU-Florham, 12-2, in the second half and put nine shots on net, but all nine attempts were stopped by Devils junior keeper
Erica Blackburn (Marlboro, NJ). Blackburn made a career-high 13 saves in the victory as she pushed her record to 6-1-1 on the season.
FDU will play its final road game of the regular season next Wednesday, October 20 at 7:00 pm against Arcadia University.
