MADISON, NJ (March 4, 2020)- FDU Men's Lacrosse defeated Bryn Athyn College on Wednesday night, 20-4. With the win, the Devils improve to 1-3 on the season while the Lions drop to 0-3.
FIRST HALF
The first quarter of play was dominated by FDU, getting the scoring started less than two-minutes into the game. Senior
John Guido streaked the right side of the field, putting a shot passed the Lions goalie, giving the Devils a 1-0 lead. Less than five-minutes later, sophomore
Zane Johnston netted a behind-the-back goal off a groundball, adding to the FDU lead. Senior

Robbie Nawrocki added to the scoring, at 4:49 and 56-seconds. The Devils held a 4-0 advantage at the end of the first quarter.
FDU started right where they left off, thanks to a goal out of the stick of freshman
Michael Stewart at the 12:39 mark. The Devils wasted no time adding to their lead, with junior
Tyler Garcia netting his first of the game just 30-seconds later. FDU made it a 7-0 game, thanks to Garcia's second, Â from freshman
Sean O'Donoghue, his second assist of the game. Senior goalie
Adam Reifer recorded his first save of the game at the 7:44 mark, blocking away a Lions scoring chance. The Devils continued to add to the lead, making it 8-0 with 5:39 remaining in the half, off the stick of P. Stewart, his second of the game. Bryn Athyn finally broke through with 4:04 left in the first half, cutting the FDU lead to seven, 8-1. FDU responded at the 2:06 mark, with M. Stewart netting his second goal, off an assist from junior
Drew Bukowiec. The duo of M. Stewart and Bukowiec combined again for another Devils score with 56-seconds left in the half, making the score 10-1. FDU wasn't done there, 30-seconds later, O'Donoghue got in on the scoring, netting his first from freshman
Lucas Berghahn. FDU held an 11-1 advantage at the break.
SECOND HALF
It was the Devils again soring first in the second half of play, freshman
Vince Tagliaferri with his first of the game from Bukowiec. Nawrocki made it 13-1 at 10:46, off the stick of Garcia. Sophomore
Antonio Amaral got in on the action, netting his first off the game thanks to another assist from O'Donoghue. Bryn Athyn scored their first of the second half, sneaking one past sophomore goalie
Dan Schlupp at the 1:40 mark, making the score 14-2.
P. Stewart got the scoring started in the fourth quarter, putting his third of the game past the Lions goalkeeper at 12:28, giving FDU a 15-2 lead. Bryn Athyn added their third of the game with 10:42 remaining, and their fourth, just 42-seconds later, cutting the Devils lead to 15-4. FDU would stop the Bryn Athyn run, thanks to M. Stewart's fourth goal of the game. The Devils weren't done there, as O'Donoghue continued his great offensive day, scoring his second of the game off an assist from Berghahn. Then, it was freshman
Harrison Miccio getting in on the scoring, netting his first, and increasing the FDU lead to 18-4. Berghahn scored his first goal of the game at 2:32, then 16-seconds later, O'Donoughue netted his third from M. Stewart to cap the scoring on the day for FDU.

The combination of Pat and Michael combined to score seven goals for FDU, with M. Stewart leading the way with four and P. Stewart finishing with three.

OFFENSIVE MACHINE
O'Donoghue was an offensive threat all-day for FDU, finishing the game with three goals and three assists.
DISHING IT OUT
The Devils finished the day recording 12 assists on their 20 goals. Bukowiec led the way, dishing out three.

FDU ended the contest with 11 different goal scorers, including five players netting two or more.
