Hilton Head, S.C. (March 12, 2020) - Both the FDU men's and women's tennis teams resumed action in Hilton Head, South Carolina on Thursday. After grabbing wins over Webster University and Baldwin Wallace University, the men's tennis squad continued their winning ways, as they defeated Gettysburg College by a score of 8-2. With the win, they improve to 5-1 on the season. With the defeat, the Bullets fall to 0-6 overall.
The FDU women's team dropped their first match of the day against Gettysburg by a score of 5-4. With the win, the Bullets jump to 2-4. In the second matchup for the Devils, FDU fell by a score of 8-1 to The Cardinals of The Catholic University of America. The Devils fall to 7-3 on the season, as the Cardinals move to 5-5.

The Devils swept the Bullets in doubles competition. In the first match, the team of senior
Rich Bennett and freshman
Jacob Mostoller upended the Bullets duo of Max Levy and Alec Shalk by a score of 8-3. With the Devils leading the match, the freshman team of
Jonathan Carasso and
Zach Puccia won over Zach Lachance and Matt Rau by a score of 8-3. To complete doubles play, sophomore
JT Murray and senior
Chris Fiorenza blanked the Bullets team of
Bryce Weigartz and Clark Lovejoy by a score of 8-0.
The Devils went on to win five matches in singles play. Carasso opened things up for FDU by beating Lachance, 6-4, 4-6 (11-9). Classmate Puccia continued things for the Devils, by defeating Shalk by scores of 6-3 and 7-5. Next up, senior
Kevin Weller beat Levy by set scores of 6-4 and 6-0.
Kaya Esgun then secured another win for FDU, as he won over Rau by scores of 6-1 and 6-2. For the Devils' final win of the day, junior
Tyler Schacher defeated Weigartz, 8-0.

In doubles action, the Devils' lone win came when senior
Logan Squires and freshman
Kayla Dello Iacono won by a score of 8-5 over Alexis Rinker and Shelby Deron of the Bullets. In singles play, senior
Christine Kenny won over Shayne Barnes by set scores of 6-3 and 6-1. The Devils last win in the match was when senior
Mia Capozzoli scored set victories of 6-1 and 6-4 over Katie Delia.

In the Devils' second matchup of the day, Bradley picked up a victory over Colleen McLaughlin of The Catholic University of America by scores of 6-1 and 6-0.
