Madison, NJ (February 8, 2020)- FDU Men's Basketball defeated King's College on Saturday afternoon, 92-83. With the win, the Devils improve to 10-11 overall and 5-5 in the MAC Freedom Conference while the Monarchs drop to 11-10 and 4-6 in the conference.
FIRST HALF
FDU was hot early, jumping out to a 9-0 lead in the games first two-minutes, with three-pointers made by freshman
Andrew Schulz, senior
Andy Fleurantin and junior
Oliver Ortman. King's would fight back, going on a 7-0 run of their own to cut the Devils lead to two. Five straight points, all scored by senior
Kenneth LaRocca, increased the FDU lead back to seven. The Devils would continue to stay hot, scoring 50 total points in the first half while holding the Monarchs to 35. FDU's largest lead of the half was 18 points at the 2:54 mark, on a free throw from Fleurantin.
SECOND HALF
The Devils would maintain a nine or more-point lead throughout majority of the second half, with King's narrowing the margin to seven with :47 seconds remaining. LaRocca would knock down two free throws, and FDU would seal the game down the stretch.
LEAD DEVIL
Fleurantin led the way for FDU, scoring 22 points and going 5-of-7 from beyond the arc.

Cameron Saintil each scored 13 points, knocking down five field goals apiece.
CONSISTENCY
Both LaRocca and Ortman continued their consistent offensive play, finishing the day with 19 and 16 points respectively. LaRocca also added 10 rebounds and eight assists to record a double-double.Â
