Madison, NJ- FDU Men's Basketball will be raising awareness in two games this week, participating in Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers week to help defeat Cancer. The Devils coaching staff started the week wearing sneakers in their away Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom victory versus Delaware Valley this past Wednesday. They will continue to show support, wearing sneakers this Saturday, January 25 versus Wilkes University in a home matchup.
COACHES VS. CANCER
The Coaches vs. Cancer program is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. This initiative leverages the personal experiences, community leadership, and professional excellence of coaches nationwide to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living through year-round awareness efforts, fundraising activities, and advocacy programs. Since 1993, coaches have raised over $100 million for the American Cancer Society. (

SATURDAY INFORMATION
Devils Men's Basketball will continue to support the cause this Saturday, January 25 wearing sneakers on the sidelines of their MAC Freedom home contest. Throughout the game, FDU basketball will be collecting donations. Donations will be collected both at the door and during halftime. Tip-off for the men's game is scheduled for 3 p.m. or 30-minutes immediately following the conclusion of FDU Women's Basketball at 1 p.m.
